Gritty: Getting things done the right way, no matter the circumstances.
Being gritty means staying steady and doing what’s right even when things don’t go according to plan. It’s not about how easy the job is—it’s about how we handle it when it’s not.
Last week, one of our Punch List Pros technicians showed exactly what that looks like. He arrived on time for a backsplash job where the homeowner had agreed to supply all the materials. But when he got there, he realized a key material was missing—without it, he couldn’t do the project.
Instead of cutting corners, he made a trip to Lowe’s, got what he needed, and came back to complete the job. It meant starting and finishing later than planned, but he did not rush or compromise the quality of his work. He stayed patient, professional, and saw it through the right way.
That’s grit.
No shortcuts. No excuses. Just good work, done the right way—no matter the circumstances.
When plans fall apart, stay gritty. Adjust, adapt, and finish strong.
